BROLETTO IN PAVIA -

“Broletto” in Pavia is renowned as the most ancient palace in Lombardia. It features a stratified construction over the centuries, from XIth to XXth Century.
The project was developed by mean of a deep knowledge of the fabrics, through different type of surveys. Goals of the project involved permeability of the the main courtyard, connecting two squares, prevision of public spaces on the ground floor, adaptation of functions to restored spaces, demolition of superfetations to take the fabrics back to their original status.
Closing of loggias on the 1st and 3rd floors were made with sliding unframed glass panels, specifically designed to minimize visual impact.
