Organized as a succession of receding longitudinal yet low volumes covered in local stone, the architectural composition willfully maintains a low key appearance yet takes advantage of the views to the sea and creates a series of inner patios that give shelter from the characteristic wind of Sardinia.
The 128,000 sqm harbor that, guaranteeing a depth ranging from 4 to 7 meters, develops along 2 km newly equipped quays. The harbor has the capacity to host 700 boats and will include, eastward, a large area destined for nautical maintenance.
Located in this harbor, the small accommodation quarter is central to a project that, providing a series of port, receptive, formative and convention facilities, is aimed at transforming the ex Arsenale at La Maddalena into one of the main nautical hubs of the Western Mediterranean Sea.
