COCA COLA PAVILION SECOND LIFE -

The Coca Cola Pavilion has been designed from the beginning to be re-used aas a basketball court at the end of the EXPO 2015. Once Expo closed, portals and roof made of GluLam was dismantled and transported in the La Spezia Park, in the neighborhood of Famagosta, where they were used to cover one of the two existing basketball courts. The structure of the building built for Expo, which won the “Towards a Sustainable Expo” award for its passive temperature control capabilities, allows to shade the space of play assuring free ventilation, and usability even in case of rain or snow. Also inside it it is installed a Led Lighting System synchronized to the one public existing, which will let enjoy the basketball court of the latest generation in all seasons and every time, increasing the sense of overall security of the park. The project Also Involved the second playground, and the surrounding areas.
