Albert de Pineda graduated as an architect at ETSAB since 1980. He first collaborated with different architect firms until 1991, when he establishes his own office, PINEARQ. He specialized in Health care architecture, designing hospitals and homes, both public and private around the country of Spain. Many are worth mentioning like the Hospital Complex of Martí and Julià, the Hospital of Denia, etc, and world wide the Hospital Hedwigshöhe in Berlin, Residential hospital do Mar in Lisbon. Other types of constructed buildings are markets, like for example the Market of Concepción, research and laboratories like the Biomedical Research Parc of Barcelona, Anti doping Laboratories in Qatar, university faculties and residential complexes. He has given many conferences at different universities and congress. He is currently teaching at the Open University of Catalunya.
