The works include the construction of a large treatment and services area on three levels and two wings for medical and surgical wards (total surface 81.000 m2 - about 735 beds).
Very important is the dimension of the operating department, with 20 operating rooms and the imaging department.
Other departments are: emergency, laboratory of chemical-clinical analysis and microbiology, emergency operating block and diagnostics, dialysis (40 beds), intensive care unit (52 beds), outpatients department (100) and day-hospital.
