RENOVATION OF N° 501 JIUJING RD.

This project is for the renovation and renewal of No. 501 Jiujiang Rd., which is one of the most important landmarks of Old Shanghai, the original Shanghai Stock Exchange. It will be turned into the China & Italy design exchange center.
The design concept aims to create a lively and buzzing green landmark along with the preservation of its old appearance. In fact, the implementation will follow the acupuncture philosophy to dig into the origin of the building.
During the design process a lot of importance was given to the communication process between Italy and China to design the interior spaces, these ideas resonate with each other in the design space, creating a distinct visual experience.
During the whole design process, the concept of the Vertical Forest, as a strong and distinctive mark, has characterized the special recognition of this old building, and the combination of these concepts made the graft of a totally new lifestyle into Shanghai possible.
