A global repositioning concept for a major urban shopping mall, a project based around colour, identity, visibility and a new look for an important Retail & Leisure Centre now fully incorporated in the city’s urban fabric and revitalised in terms of its spaces and communication programme: this is L22’s project for Bicocca Village in Milan.
A project focusing on the Mall’s main features and communicating them in a brand-new way, starting with the very heart of the project: the central part of the Village and its upward spiralling motion, the hub of all the pathways, whose floors have been redesigned right around the shopfront and whose ceiling flashes across the arcades to energise all the flows. The design is carefully geared to the Mall’s various vocations – shopping, food and film – with an updated overall graphic design and new Logo and Tag Line , which instantly convey the different kinds of experience: “Eat, Shop, Fun”.
Everything has been done paying careful attention to controlling the sound and lighting in the interiors and how the outside space is experienced, thanks to an urban furnishing project that raises the Village’s ‘temperature’ and enhances its interaction with the city and overall appeal.
