AIA Honor Award for UMMA - University of Michigan Museum of Art

UMMA - University of Michigan Museum of Art has received a 2011 Honor Award for Architecture from AIA, the American Institute of Architects. The teaching museum, a project of Allied Works Architecture is a multifunctional building with several facilities: open storage areas, a cafè, a curatorial library, a 185-seat auditorium, a conservation lab, a three storey vertical gallery. The building establish an excellence for its open and immediate public feature, serving as an important gateway for students and residents of Ann Arbor.
